Escape The Curse
No name on the sleeve. No titles on the label. 200 copies. DJs have been finding it for over ten years.
Escape The Curse came out in 2012 on One, a limited 12-inch on Zyntax Motorcity in Germany: 200 copies, packed in a purple cotton cover, with the artist and track titles printed nowhere on it. If you didn't already know what it was, the record wasn't going to tell you.
People found it anyway. Mike Stern played it in 2013, Umwelt in 2014. In February 2018 Helena Hauff played it on NTS Radio; that August B.Traits played it on BBC Radio 1, then again in her Truancy Volume. Gage played it on NTS in 2019, Fred Mann in his 2023 mix for Inverted Audio. 10 plays with a public tracklist or recording, across more than a decade, for a track that was never on a sleeve.
It's the track of mine that's been played out the most. That's the whole story: it keeps getting pulled out of the bag.
