She's Electric
I threw the boxes away. I thought nobody liked it.
She's Electric was the first record on my own label. Ghost Walk, catalogue number one, 2001. Cut by Ron Murphy at National Sound Corporation in Hamtramck, pressed down the road at Archer Record Pressing. If you collect Detroit records you know what those two names in the dead wax mean. Ron told me it sounded like shit, then helped me clean it up.

It didn't sell. Years later, moving house, the unsold boxes went in the bin.
Then in 2023 Reptant asked me for it. I rebuilt the digital version for him and he played it at HÖR Berlin. In 2025 Euforia played it at HÖR and messaged me afterwards to say so. Luke Eargoggle has had the vinyl for years and still plays it; in 2026 he put it under his own Instagram post. DJs I've never met keep tracking it down.
It's now my most played track on Spotify, ten times the next one. On Discogs, more people are looking for a copy than own one. The boxes are in a landfill somewhere.
